Eugene Gregan, American, uses ancient methods and materials of classic oriental painting to create his own expression of life. His bold yet delicate brush & ink paintings have adorned inlaid wooden screens, and decorated album covers of classic jazz musicians. One American art critic stated: "The art of seeing Gregan's work is achieved with the eyes of the heart." Teaching credits include the Rhode Island School of Design, Brown University, and the Naropa Institute in Colorado. Exhibitions of his work occur in major cities in the United States and in Europe.
